Lichfield District Explorers

Bluelight Studios works with Lichfield District Explorers through an informal agreement to borrow event equipment free of charge. We also host their website on one of our servers.


Lichfield District Council

Lichfield District Council was one of our first clients, where we developed a leisure event solution. This was used on the council’s previous website.


Young Enterprise

Bluelight Studios provides event services to Young Enterprise at a local level. As well as technical support and direction on the day, we also collate and order the presentations before the day. We also provide a corporate PowerPoint theme that fits into their branding.


Excelsior Marquees

Bluelight Studios worked with this specialist marquee hire company to put together a marketing website. Although originally coming to us with an idea for a website in flash, after consultation they want with an HTML5 version, with full search engine support.

London Harpsichords

London Harpsichordsbased in North London, provides a range of services for the keyboard player, offering a range of instruments to suit specific requirements, and working with both amateurs and the world’s leading players alike. Bluelight Studios has had a long standing relationship with the company, providing consultancy and training in website management, as well as design input and hosting services for the site.



Naturana, a clothing outlet, worked with Bluelight Studios to create their online factory outlet store. We also continue to consult on their wider European strategy, working to develop a plan to ensure the brand remains structured throughout the different regional stores.


TOC Frankfurt

Working with Tools of Change, an O’Reilly conference for book publishers, was a great privilege. Bluelight Studios worked with the organisation to present at their Frankfurt conference, particularly focusing on what clients could expect when commissioning mobile apps.


NHS Choices

NHS Choices contacted Bluelight Studios to consult on ways to publicise data relating to customer feedback. Working with NHS in-house designers, Bluelight Studios created a number of widgets allowing users to search by location, a particular facility or the latest comments and embed this widget onto their webpage. Bluelight Studios also advised on API issues and built automated algorithms to cleanse data from external sources.



MediaMath is a start up aimed at revolutionizing on-line marketing. Bluelight Studios, working with MediaMath designers, created the first version of the MathMen site, a marketing idea based on AMC’s MadMen.

It Works Like A Dream is a hosting service, with the majority of their sites based around the WordPress platform. Bluelight Studios provides low level Linux support, aiming to maintain stability to their large hosting platform. As well as maintaining security systems, Bluelight Studios provides real time support to pre-emptively act on issues before they become critical.

Mercian Labels

As a large multi-site organisation, Mercian Labels requires a secure and well managed IT infrastructure. As well as providing low level Linux management, Bluelight Studios also provides security audits. Along with our real time monitoring service, this allows Mercian Labels to be confident their mission critical systems are always functional and safe.



Frillipmoolog is the home of artist Kirsty E Smith, and is a long standing client. Bluelight Studios provides support with ongoing maintenance and Search Engine Optimisation of the site, allowing the client to remain focused on the content, rather than the system behind it.



Quina-Fina, a bottled water company based in New Zealand, is currently working with Bluelight Studios to release their new website, designed in house. Bluelight Studios, a leader in bespoke PHP development services, is currently coding a range of CMS components, including templating themes, to augment the client’s WordPress platform.


St Julians Primary School

St Julian’s Primary School works in partnership with Bluelight Studios to provide hosting and technical support. The site, based on the Joomla CMS, was designed by the school, with Bluelight Sutdios providing technical support and assistance where needed. With regular communication with our technicians, the school has gone on to win awards for it’s online content, and is continually highly commended for it’s success in Information Technology studies within the school.


Sick City

‘Nobody is healthy in London, nobody can be’, wrote Jane Austen in Emma. Join Wellcome Trust Engagement Fellow Dr Richard Barnett and friends for a gut-wrenching, brain-teasing, eye-opening take on the sick city.

Featuring narration from Richard and images from the Wellcome Library’s collection, Sick City Walks tells the story of life and death, health and sickness in London. From the healing wells of the Fleet valley to the gin-fuelled excesses of Enlightenment Soho and the roots of the NHS, these walks reveal twenty centuries of London life in all its gory, moving, inspiring intricacy.


Random House

Random House asked us to build a website featuring literary walks to celebrate 21 years of its Vintage imprint. The main concern was for the site to display equally and be accessible on desktop computers and web-enabled mobile phones. To make this possible, we devised a web-app. The app is a marketing and brand extension exercise for the publisher so we ensured that the development of both the website and the mobile site was non-complex and intuitive so that in-house staff can now easily upload new walks into the system.


The Wellcome Trust

Museums, galleries and cultural attractions have already acknowledged that they need their own compelling, customised iPhone and Android apps. These reach out to new audiences, while enhancing existing physical collections and enriching the visitor experience.


9010 Group

9010 Group, a social agency, came to Bluelight Studios with the aim of developing social tools, to help large companies manage digital media channels. Over the course of 9 months, Bluelight Studios developed a range of algorithms which came to market.
